St. Cecilia Academy was founded in 1860 by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation. The all-girls, college-preparatory Catholic school provides a rigorous academic program in a faith-filled environment. St. Cecilia Academy is located on 83 acres in the heart of west Nashville alongside Aquinas College. It is the oldest private high school in Nashville and has been six times recognized by the Acton Institute as one of the Top 50 Catholic high schools in the nation.
